We believe caregivers of all ages need the same things: conversation, connection, and compassion.
…Conversations with other caregivers who “get it.”
…Connections to care partners and providers who will support us.
…Compassion from friends, family, and even strangers who see us.
Wherever you are on your caregiving journey, Hello Caregiving will orient you to the resources around you—and within you.
We’ll give you strategies for self-care, decision-making, and village-building, and tools to empower you through your care journey.
Your course instructor, Bobbi Jo Curty, brings over a decade of experience as a social worker in long-term care communities to the table. Throughout her career, she’s learned so much from helping families navigate a loved one’s care, and she’s juggled multiple roles: being a resource, an advocate, a shoulder to cry on, and at times, the bearer of bad news.
Bobbi Jo has experience in all levels of senior living and has a number of professional relationships with home care, hospice care, mental health, and rehabilitation therapy providers. She’s also co-facilitated an Alzheimer’s Association support group and has witnessed the feelings of exhaustion, uncertainty, and guilt experienced by many caregivers of persons with memory loss.
Our 1-hour course is designed with this goal in mind: giving caregivers of all ages the help and hope they need for the simple and significant decisions ahead. Another important takeaway? That you’ll understand your value as a caregiver, and why your health and well-being is vital to providing the best care.
We know everyone’s caregiving circumstances are different. But you can be certain that you are not alone.
