Meet Diane from North Carolina.
What’s your caregiving story?
I have been caring for my husband for 6 1/2 years and for my son most of his life.
What’s the hardest part of being a caregiver?
The hardest part is there is very little time for me. Everyone’s needs must go before mine.
What worries you the most as a caregiver?
The increasing disabilities of my husband. His neurological needs are constantly increasing as his disease progresses.
What do you need the most as a caregiver?
Time for myself and freedom from worries.
If you got unexpected time off from caregiving, what would you do/where would you go?
I would travel and spend more time with friends.
What do you want people to know about caregiving and your caregiving life?
It is hard and constant.
